Stage care pathway
04

Stage care pathway

Assess, treat, rehabilitate, discharge. You always know the stage.

03

What we treat

All ages and activity levels. The pathway is set by the assessment, not by the profile

01

Chronic back and neck pain

Long-standing, recurring or unexplained spinal pain. We examine the movement that provokes it, then treat the structures driving it.

02

Post-injury and post-operative rehab

A staged return to function after surgery or trauma, loaded in the order the tissue tolerates rather than to a fixed calendar.

03

Sport and overuse injury

Load management and return-to-sport testing. We measure before we clear you, and the measures are written down.

04

Occupational strain

Desk-based, manual and repetitive-load work. Treatment addresses the posture and the task, not the symptom alone.

04

How it works

Structure before strength

Recovery is built in order: assess the structure, restore the mechanics, then load it. You are told which stage you are in and what ends it.

  1. 01

    Assess

    45 minutes

History, examination and movement testing. We record range, strength and pain so there is a baseline to measure against. You are told what we found and what it means.

  2. 02

    Treat

    Per session

Hands-on treatment: manual therapy, joint manipulation and soft-tissue work, with electrotherapy where the presentation calls for it. Delivered in person by the same clinician.

  3. 03

    Rehabilitate

    Between sessions

A structured programme that loads the area progressively. Written down, reviewed at each visit and adjusted against the measures taken at assessment.

  4. 04

    Discharge

    When measures hold

We review the baseline. When range, strength and function hold under load, treatment ends and you keep the programme. We tell you what to watch for.

Patient feedback

Reviews are being collected

This section will carry verified patient reviews once they have been gathered and consent to publish is on file. Nothing has been written here in the meantime — a testimonial the clinic has not received is not a testimonial.

Section reserved. Supply reviews and they will be published here.

The clinician

Romualdo Marcílio

MSK specialist

PRC Clinic has treated patients in Willesden Green since 2015. It runs a single-clinician model: the person who assesses you is the person who treats you and the person who discharges you, so nothing is lost in a handover.

Treatment is hands-on and delivered in person. Findings are explained in plain terms at the appointment and written into your plan.

Questions

Before you book

If your question is not here, ask us directly.

What happens at the first appointment?

It takes 45 minutes. We take a history, examine the area and test the movements that provoke your symptoms, recording range, strength and pain as a baseline. You leave with the finding explained and a written plan.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can book an assessment directly. If something in your history needs a GP or a scan before we treat, we will tell you at the assessment and say why.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the presentation, and we give you a range at the assessment rather than a number on a website. Progress is reviewed against your baseline measures, and treatment ends when those measures hold.

What should I wear?

Clothing you can move in, and that allows the area to be examined — shorts for a knee, hip or lower back, a vest top for a shoulder or neck. Bring your trainers if the problem shows up when you run.

Do you treat sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation?

Yes. Both are core to the clinic, alongside chronic back and neck pain and occupational strain. Post-operative work is staged against your surgeon's protocol where one has been given.

Is treatment hands-on?

Yes. Manual therapy and joint manipulation are the main part of treatment, with electrotherapy used alongside where the presentation calls for it. It is delivered in person by the same clinician throughout.

What does it cost?

Fees are confirmed when you book, so you know the cost before you attend. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you the fee for the assessment and for follow-up sessions.

Where are you and how do I get there?

PRC Clinic is on the lower ground floor of Willesden Medical Centre, 144-150 High Road, Willesden Green, London NW10 2PT. Take the stairs down once you are inside the medical centre. The Location page has the map and directions.
